Now hiring: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Katsina-Ala, Benue State. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. The role involves: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings Requirements: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry 2+ years on the tools preferred.
