Join our team: we are hiring an aluminium technician in Borough of Rochdale, England. You will work on a commercial shopfront installation. Your main tasks: • Fit EPDM rubber gaskets and beading into the glazing channels • Load and offload fabricated units without scratching the finish • Assemble window and door frames from extruded sections • Crimp the corner joints and fit corner cleats on the crimping machine • Drill, tap and rivet sections and fix with self-drilling screws • Apply silicone sealant and weather seals around the frames What we are looking for: • Able to read shop drawings and work to given sizes • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding and ladders • Accurate to the millimetre on cuts and mitre joints Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
