Banksman — Bartholomew County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a banksman in Bartholomew County, Indiana. The job is in a heavy machinery workshop. On the job you will handle: • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads Requirements: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Six days a week, one day off.
