Gas meter installer — Ashe County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Ashe County, North Carolina. The job is in customers' homes and kitchens. The role involves: • Complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply Ideal candidate: • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion 2+ years on the tools preferred. $4,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
