Vacancy available: we are hiring a fettler in Essex County, New York. On the job you will handle: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Basic grinding and fettling skills Rotating shifts.
