Join our team: we are hiring a retail butcher in Rock Island County, Illinois. You will work in a supermarket meat department. Day-to-day duties: • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone What we are looking for: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day $29 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
