Lift mechanic — Southampton County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a lift mechanic in Southampton County, Virginia. You will work in a hospital with heavy lift traffic. Your main tasks: • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts • Fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork What we are looking for: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways 2+ years on the tools preferred.
