Vacancy available: we are hiring a hoist operator in Mills County, Iowa. Requirements: • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Understanding of hand and radio signals The role involves: • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
