Vacancy available: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Lunenburg County, Virginia. You will work at a drainage and utilities contractor. Requirements: • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites On a typical shift you will carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels; backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers; track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport; dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds; lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains; strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
