Join our team: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in City of Buena Vista, Virginia. On a typical shift you will lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence. Requirements: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
