Vacancy available: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Houghton County, Michigan. You will be based at a steel fabrication workshop. Requirements: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety On the job you will handle: • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints Part-time with flexible hours.
