Immediate opening: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Lenawee County, Michigan. You will be based at a steel fabrication workshop. You should have: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding The role involves: • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
