Great opportunity: stainless steel welder (Illinois)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Douglas County, Illinois. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. You will strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around $4,600 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
