Finishing presser • Trinity County, California

Immediate opening: we are hiring a finishing presser in Trinity County, California. You will work in a busy laundry. On a typical shift you will set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
