Gas metal arc welder • Larue County, Kentucky

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Larue County, Kentucky. You will work at a steel fabrication workshop. Day to day you will set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration. You should have: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium 5+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $2,900 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
