You should have: • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders • Able to read isometric and site drawings Day to day you will fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances; connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints; locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections; fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls.
