Now hiring: we are hiring an elevator repair technician in Union County, New Jersey. The job is in a machine room on the rooftop. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards Day-to-day duties: • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments • Top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway Pay around $5,500 per month, based on your experience.
