Structural MIG welder wanted in Gordon County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Gordon County, Georgia. You will be based at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Your main tasks: • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose Ideal candidate: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
