Cnc lathe operator • City and Borough of Birmingham, England

Vacancy available: we are hiring a cnc lathe operator in City and Borough of Birmingham, England. You will be based in a tool room. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges On a typical shift you will set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets; top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; load and index turning tools in the turret; read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
