Heavy equipment operator — Lamar County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Lamar County, Mississippi. You will work at a road-building project. On a typical shift you will operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material; read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles; backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations; keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines; load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket; break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
