Earthmoving plant operator • St. Mary Parish, Louisiana

Great opportunity: we are hiring an earthmoving plant operator in St. Mary Parish, Louisiana. You will work at a stone quarry. Day-to-day duties: • Keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines • Excavate trenches and foundations to the marked depths and grade levels • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension Requirements: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently • Understanding of safe digging near underground services At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
