Ladle pourer — Russell County

Join our team: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Russell County, Virginia. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. You will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring. What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
