Reinforcement steel fixer wanted in Henrico County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Henrico County, Virginia. The job is at a rebar fabrication workshop. On a typical shift you will install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder. Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Six days a week, one day off.
