Hydraulic crane operator wanted in Ottawa County

Now hiring: we are hiring a hydraulic crane operator in Ottawa County, Kansas. You will work in a steel fabrication workshop. Requirements: • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Able to read load charts and lifting plans On a typical shift you will help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure.
