Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium On the job you will handle: • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing Six days a week, one day off.
