Immediate opening: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Delaware County, New York. The job is in a tool room. Requirements: • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm • Minimum 2 years on CNC lathes with Fanuc or Siemens controls The role involves: • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed • Measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers • Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish Six days a week, one day off.
