Requirements: • Able to read cutting lists and fabrication drawings • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine Day to day you will install finished windows and doors, pack and anchor-fix them, then foam and silicone the perimeter; fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash; glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square; take site measurements of openings before fabrication.
