Sand plant operator • Switzerland County, Indiana

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Switzerland County, Indiana. The job is on the moulding line. On a typical shift you will prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity. You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Basic grinding and fettling skills At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
