Vacancy available: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Wayne County, West Virginia. You will be based at a busy garment factory. What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory You will clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers.
