We are recruiting: we are hiring a brick mason in Jefferson County, Iowa. You will work on a new-build development. The role involves cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod. Requirements: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding 3+ years on the tools preferred.
