Gas pipe fitter • Red River Parish, Louisiana

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas pipe fitter in Red River Parish, Louisiana. You should have: • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders On a typical shift you will thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray; fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls; carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply; test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser. 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $22 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
