Plant operator — Gage County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a plant operator in Gage County, Nebraska. You will work in an open-cast mine. On a typical shift you will operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material; keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines; load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket; read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles; keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook; backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations. Requirements: • Valid heavy equipment / plant operator licence • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings 6+ years on the tools preferred.
