Ironing operator • City and County of San Francisco, California

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an ironing operator in City and County of San Francisco, California. The job is at a textile finishing unit. You will give each garment a final press before packing; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents. What we are looking for: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Full-time with occasional weekends.
