Great opportunity: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Fountain County, Indiana. The job is in a tool room. Ideal candidate: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code On the job you will handle: • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet Six days a week, one day off.
