Foundry worker — Jones County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry worker in Jones County, Iowa. On a typical shift you will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings. What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor 3+ years on the tools preferred.
