Crane rigger — McCook County

Join our team: we are hiring a crane rigger in McCook County, South Dakota. You will be based at a shipyard. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Day-to-day duties: • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio Rotating shifts.
