We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in District of Rutland, England. You will be based in a steel fabrication yard. The role involves: • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks Requirements: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
