Join our team: we are hiring a blocklayer in Kiowa County, Kansas. The job is on a commercial construction site. You should have: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding Day-to-day duties: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings Part-time with flexible hours.
