Ideal candidate: • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day Day-to-day duties: • Stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage • Bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns • Carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site • Wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator Six days a week, one day off.
