Gtaw welder • Lincoln County, Oregon

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Lincoln County, Oregon. The role involves inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp. You should have: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
