Now hiring: steel fixing chargehand (Illinois)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Warren County, Illinois. You will work on a busy residential building site. On a typical shift you will set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine. You should have: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) Pay around $4,100 per month, based on your experience.
