Aluminium tig welder — Carbon County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Carbon County, Pennsylvania. Day-to-day duties: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding What we are looking for: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
