Immediate opening: we are hiring an uPVC door and window fabricator in Glasgow City, Scotland. Requirements: • Own basic hand tools (tape, square, screw gun) • Comfortable handling and lifting glazed units safely • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres On a typical shift you will install finished windows and doors, pack and anchor-fix them, then foam and silicone the perimeter; cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees; fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash; fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam; clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash; check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Contact us to fix an interview.
