Vertical milling machine operator • City of Franklin, Virginia

Immediate opening: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in City of Franklin, Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance What we are looking for: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
