Join our team: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Dane County, Wisconsin. The job is at a precast concrete yard. You should have: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire Day to day you will place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Part-time with flexible hours. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
