The role involves hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots. Ideal candidate: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Full-time with occasional weekends. $19 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
