Sample machinist wanted in Ocean County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sample machinist in Ocean County, New Jersey. You will work in a textile and apparel unit. On the job you will handle: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges Requirements: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory 6+ years on the tools preferred.
