Now hiring: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Colfax County, Nebraska. The job is at a busy construction site. The role involves guide loads through tight openings into their final position; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; read lift plans and method statements before starting; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites Six days a week, one day off.
