Safety inspector • City of Hampton, Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring a safety inspector in City of Hampton, Virginia. The job is at a busy construction site. The role involves verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task. You should have: • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
