Pipe tig welder — Jos East

Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Jos East, Plateau State. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. The role involves carry out 6G pipe welds where required; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding. Requirements: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Meals and transport allowance provided.
